Wicked 383 shortblock for sale
I've got a 383 shortblock from a customer's car I'm pulling to make room for a supercharged 377. This motor has less than 5k miles on it and is bulletproof...It also isn't cheap...
-OEM 4-bolt roller block. Bored to 4.030" and honed on a Sunnen CK10 with BHJ plates. Align honed, squared and decked to .010" deck height, lifter bores trued. ARP main studs. Milodon two-piece rear main seal adapter.
-Callies 4340 'Racemaster' crankshaft. 3.75" stroke. Crossdrilled mains for oiling, rod journals drilled, counterweights profiled for lighter weight. Internally balanced with Mallory.
-Callies billet 5.7" connecting rods. ARP 210k cap screws. Profiled for stroker clearance. Bronze bushed small end for floating pins.
-TRW Lightweight forged flat-top pistons. Match balanced. 10.82:1 compression with 64cc combustion chambers.
-Speed Pro Moly file-fit rings.
-Oliver/King's bearings. Clearances blueprinted.
-Melling M55HV high volume oil pump with blueprinted clearances.
-Milodon 'Diamond Scraper' windage tray.
-Moroso 7 qt. kick-out oil pan, passenger side dipstick.
-Crane custom ground hydraulic roller camshaft. 230/238 duration at .050". .575/.595 lift with 1.6 rockers. Ground on a 114 LSA with reduced base circles for stroker clearance.
-Crane hydraulic roller lifters (OEM type); custom length for reduced base circle cam.
-Crane double roller, multi-keyway timing chain.
-GM Performance Parts timing cover and tab.
-GM Performance Parts 6.75" steel harmonic damper.
-All ARP fasteners.
This shortblock was the basis for a 530 horsepower EFI motor. It is a first rate shortblock and the only thing that would make it stronger would be the addition of a Bowtie block. I will do a 'clean up' hone and install new file-fit rings before it leaves so it will be fresh. Take this bulletproof bottom end and a killer set of heads and intake and you've got a nasty 383 that will live forever!! As I said, the price isn't cheap, but this isn't the usual 'rebuilder special' either... Price is $4,000.00.

PS- I guess I should've clarified, but this is a standard SBC, not an LT1.

Re: Wicked 383 shortblock for sale (Dr. Doom)
By LT block, do you mean LT1?? If so, no, it's a standard SBC not an LT1. The block was a brand new GM block; I built the motor two years ago.
