Default wtb front pinion shims for dana 44 3.45 pinion

bought a kit with all bearing and shims but the front shims aren't the proper size for the 3.45 pinion. Anyone know of shims availability.
Thanks
Ron

Default Dana 44 Shims

Try Tom's Differentials. They are in Idaho.

I have dealt with them in the past, they are very reliable and very helpful.

Thickness or diameter discrepancies? If you know what you need a Jeep/CMC dealer "might" be able to help or GM/FORD for that matter. You'll need someone that understands differentials OR a drive-line shop in the area. Are all the rest of the parts correct? I'd check - you may have ended up with just a D44 package and not a "HD-44" which uses D60 pinion flange, seal, front pinion etc. Dana/Spicer does a package or the "HD-44 but it has more than you need. What thickness do you need?

Thanks for the info that might be what I got. Oddly enough the lock nut is the correct size but the front shims are to small.
Thanks
Ron

Do you have an aftermarket gear? I bought a Yukon kit and the pinion crush sleeves were to small in Dia. for the factory 3:33. Yukon said the crush sleeves are for aftermarket gears(smaller pinion shaft dia.) They say to use the shims on the factory gear to set pinion preload. Just a thought. Good Luck!

So it's an ID dimension problem with the shims?

If there's a drive-line shop in the area check them, transmission shops frequently also do differential repairs so if you know what thickness you need you could try there also.
