Parts Wanted for 1987 Vette!
How are y'all doing!?
I recently purchased a 1987 C4 Corvette and I'm in love.
I am 19 and love these classic cars. I owned a 1991 Z28 Camaro Convertible. My father owned it and it was in my life for 19 years, 4 years of which I drove it. I put my hard earned money into this thing trying to restore it, up until a month and a half ago. It was in a rear-end collision due to a drunk driver (may it rest in piece(s))
SO! Sad story short I purchased this beautiful Vette!
It has 86,xxx miles and is in almost excellent condition. My dad and I will be taking it to shows over the next few years and placing it in the Stock division for judging. Whether we win something or not, it's great bonding!
The interior is in great condition. Seats are pristine, carpet is good (just dirty), dashboard is decent with minor cracks, digital gauges work but the glass has a weird sand like substance behind it.
Now, the list:
I need a new dashboard/dashpad. This sucks because I know they are expensive!
I need new, or good conditioned used, speakers! I need all of them. The dashboard speakers, kick panel speakers, and the rear speakers. The Bose/Delco system.
I need a new headlight/driving light pull ****.
New or well conditioned rear hatch center trim panel.
I'd like a new front hood emblem as well. Mine is not cracked or anything but the paint inside the emblem is faded. It's the Corvette checkered/red chevy emblem surrounded by black plastic.
And new center console lock solenoid.
Thanks in advance guys! I hope to hear from a few of you soon!

I sent you a PM with some info on a good guy to buy used C4 parts from. He is not a Forum sponsor anymore so I think posting his company here is frowned upon.
Your front speakers are not in the dash. Only the non-Bose 87s came with dash speakers. Google "Dr Don" as he can rebuild your existing Bose system for you.
I had a few minor problems with my 87 and so did the next owner but over all it was a reliable car.
These are prone to cylinder head gaskets leaking, power brake booster failure, worn out fuel injectors, intake manifold leaks, valve cover leaks, worn valve seals, junk between radiator and AC unit that causes overheating, door window seal deterioration, weatherstripping deterioration, dashboard problems (poor grounds, burned out bulbs, driver side outside bolster wear, deterioration of rubber brake lines, worn out fuel pump and of course "Bubba" repairs and mods.
Purchase a factory maintenance manual and with advice here you will be all set!

If you're a commercial shipper it works well and you've generally got a "back-up" so all is not lost! An individual with something like this it's almost impossible to satisfy a claim unless you have the FEDEX Office, UPS or the shipping agent pack it and ship with insurance. On the other end they'll just mention "unsatisfactory packaging" no claim settlement.
