i would highly recommend you do it as its pretty simple and will save tons! you could get a whole new fuel system for $475. www.fuelinjectorconnection.com has the bosch III's that my 85 really enjoys

so sorry for the typo ealier how hard of a job would it be for a garage mechanic....i figured buy the injectors and have the mechanic do it...he aslo said the fuel regulator was shot...I only went to him because i was smelling gass and there was a wet gas spot on top of the manifold left side by the thermo stat housing, i would do the job just dont want to get caught with my pants down so to speak...any help ...

Easy as can be. Changed out the injectors last saturday on my 96LT4 and made a world of difference. Bought the Bosch 3's from FIC for about 205.00 and took about 1 hour start to finish!! Go for it and save yourself some money!!
