Default FS: Dana 44 3.73 Fresh

..... SOLD ... Dana 44 with Spicer 3.73 Gears ... just picked it up from the gearshop with NEW posi clutches , seals , and fresh set-up on the gears ... the 3.73 ratio was not a Corvette factory option , but it is probably the most versatile gear ratio for either the A4 or M6 vettes ... D44s in this ratio don't show up very often , let alone one that's ready to install with no worries ...... $1200 for the chunk ... $1500 with Batwing ... plus shipping ....................

Looks great.

Haha 1. I wish this would fit in my stocking, 2. I wish I had the money for it.

Hopefully you sell it in time for Christmas. Good luck

IS the pumpkin a direct swap with the Dana 36? I know I'd need a new drive shaft but is there anything else? I'm in the middle of a zf-6 conversion and an dreading the time I'll have to spend with 2.59's lol.

.......... The driveshaft and the C-beam are the only parts that need to be changed or modified to accomplish the swap from a Dana 36 to the much stronger Dana 44 ...............

Hello --- I'm new to the forum and just recently purchased a 1992 Corvette. Another forum member recommended that I consider converting to a Dana 44 as one of my first performance upgrades. Would the one you are selling work in my car and, if so, what other modifications might be necessary to complete the conversion? Also, what would it cost to have your item shipped to zip code 21015?

Thanks ......... Pete

..... Pete ... Yes , this diff will work ... as mentioned earlier in this post , the Dana 36 to 44 conversion requires a one inch shorter driveshaft ( you can buy one or have yours shortened for about $100 at a competent driveshaft shop ) and the C-beam ( again , you can buy one for a D44 or re-drill yours one inch further back at the trans end ) and you will need some speedometer gears ... drive and driven ... or an adapter like the Dakota Digital ..... the half shafts are the same as are the toe rods , spring mount , and camber struts ... all bolt in ....... shipping via UPS fully insured will cost a little over $100 so lets call it that ........ Bob...
