ok guys heres my problem im building a lt1 383 bored 40 with stock rods and 3.75 stroke or a 400 crank. wen I put the first piston in the block at top dead center the piston stuck out the block about 1/8 of an inch. the pistons I bought were for a lt1 350 that's why they didn't work. what I want to know is can I use any sbc 383 piston or do I have to use a 40 over 383 piston for a lt1. I dont want to use different size rods want to change the piston. So with that being said does anybody have a set of 40 over 383 pistons that will work with my setup. Running ported lt1 heads stock comb. chamber prefer flat top but if anyone has a set of dome for a good price I will consider.

I also need a set of 1 3/4 lt headers for a 93 vette if anybody has them

yes you will need .040 pistons for a 383
