1996 Chevrolet Corvette LT4 motor
Have a 1996 Chevrolet LT-4 engine that I need to get rid of that was from GMPP before it was discontinued in 2000. It has never been placed in a vehicle and has no time on it at all.
Price is $4,000. Will crate up for free.
The “Gen II” design 5.7 “LT4” engine is the high performance version of the small-block that was used in manual transmission versions of the 1996 Corvette. This engine kit includes long-block assembly (block, crankshaft, rods, pistons, steel roller camshaft, lifters, push rods, aluminum cylinder heads, roller rocker arms, painted valve covers, oil pan, aluminum front cover, and balanced hub), plus water pump, 4BBL intake manifold, standard HEI distributor, and balancer. With these parts you can install the engine in any 1967 of older vehicle without using a computer. This engine has the same bell housing bolt pattern, motor mounts and accessories bolt holes that all Chevrolet V8’s use. This engine with the new aluminum 4BBL manifold P/N 24502574 produced 335 hp at 5500 rpm. New aluminum cylinder heads have larger ports and valves to increase airflow. The stiffer valve springs, roller rocker arms, and hollow stem valves help to increase rpm maximum over the LT1 engine. A new higher lift camshaft, 10.8:1 compression ratio, rolled and undercut cast iron crankshaft, dual mass front torsional damper, and roller timing chain.
