The 1227165 ecm was used in 86-89 y @ F body's and the s10 for a few years as well.
I'm preparing to upgrade from the 870 to 165 and I was looking for an 165 ecu with the memical included. I'm not sure if my chip from the 870 will work in the 165.
The 870 uses a prom, the 165 uses a memcal. I do have memcals and can do reprograming as well to help you with the swap. Send me a pm and I will help you out with the swap.
