Are you sure the car is a 1983, only 83's I know of are sitting in the Corvette Museum since none were sold and the 84 was released in July 83. NAPA has the pistons.

Yes. definitely it's' 1984 m.y. But on some parts you can see 1983 year of production.
Find this item:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/trw-chevy-350-flat-top-pistons-30-over-5-7-rod-and-3-48-stroke-pn-L2417-z28-/221547561943?pt=Vintage_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item33954383d7&vxp=mtrBut it is L2417 030 without F letter, as I understand these pistons are not forged, am I right?
Do I have to buy it?

I would be very surprised if they were 30 over from the factory and yes lots of the parts will be labeled a different year than the car. Mike them and make sure what size they are then go to NAPA and order what you need. This engine may have been rebuilt before you got it and bored then.

They won't be .030 from the factory, that is an over factory size. If the stock one's were .030 then that would just be the size, and .060 would be equivalent to .030. Also it would not be a "350" any longer, it would be a 355.
