I am looking for the center front bumper moulding for a 1988 35th anniversary corvette

Yeah, those are tough to find. I ended up finding a full set from a corvette salvage.

I have my original as a spare, but it's not perfect. The prior owner bumped into something and it has a crease in the front passenger corner, and it has previously been painted. I haven't stripped it, but I would assume that the moulding yellowed a bit before the paint.

I'm happy to shoot over a pic if it's something that might help you out.

No, I'm restoring it. Picked up a new front moulding piece to replace this one.

The bumper and the front passenger side of the hood are the worst parts on this car.

There are a few things that I may consider replacing with new stuff that is in good condition already. Mostly interior stuff, since I like the inside to be pristine.

How does the moulding look when you paint it, is it close to original ?

They don't really look original after painting. I don't have an upclose picture of the mouldings, but painting them smooths the surface, just like a regular body panel. The natural surface is the grainy texture.

While I have a set of replacement mouldings unpainted, I'm going to keep the painted set on the car, and paint the replacement front bumper moulding that I have. I just like the look better.
