Default wtb small cap (or remote coil) distributor

Looks like I can't use my stock hei unit with the stealth ram. Just wedges right against it. I am past maxing my budget on this engine and it is gone into the relm of fiscal irresponsibility. No really... Its bad. However I've given up and just need it done now to drive at Daytona in a few weeks.

Anyone have something I can buy and drop in? I can't spend $300 on a whole new ignition.... Let me know what you have and what you want for it. I have to get it by the end of the week to start tuning.

I have the stealth ram as well. Just go to advance auto and buy the rebuilt cardone distributor for a 92 z28 Camaro for $99 then pick up the remote coil for $30.
Mine has now been in for 3 years with no issue.

called and checked and I would have to buy the distributor cap also.... I wonder how this setup would hold up to the demands I put on it. My stock HEI with higher powered coil does okay but I burn out modules about once a year and always keep an extra with me.

Considering my time constraint I don't see an alternative...

Well, my car is dyno tuned at 463hp/459tq, so I think it will hold up fine..

Well I ordered one should be here tomorrow. Should hold up and I can think about upgrading later if needed. How did you wire and mount the external coil? Will the actual distributor use the same 5pin plug as the stock and then just run the power, ground, tach to the coil?

Just trying to get all the info I can considering my time constraints.
