Default 383 SBC long block with around 7,000 miles $2500

For sale is a single piece rear main seal 383 SBC. the engine has around 7,000 Miles. This engine runs great and does not use any fluids. only selling to fund my next project.

This is a 400 HP engine with a good intake and headers

engine is sold as a long block, no intake, dis., or accessorys.
Although it is set up for EFI now a standard carb intake will bolt right on.
The engine is in the car and you can here it run. i will not pull it untill i have it sold.

I am asking 2,500 but make me an offer, all i can say is no.
No trades please

Details:
GM block with splayed 4 bolt main caps
Eagle stroker kit with Steel crank, 4150 forged rods with ARP bolts, hypereutectic pistons with a +9cc dish 10:1 cc
LPE219 roller cam shaft, .560/560 lift 270/270 duration with a 112 LSA
Corvette aluminum heads (113) ported with new stainless valves and comp springs. 1.6 rockers.

engine is located in Anderson Indiana

This looks like a pretty good deal! You didn't mention lifters, pushrods, or rockers. Are they in the package as well?

yes it is a complete long block it has 1.6 RR lifters and push rods.

yes its a strong motor reason i am selling it for 2500 is the stock heads.

i have it on EFI right now and it runs great. went out the other day about 40 degrees in the garage and it fired right up got to love EFI!

I assembled the engine myself, a local engine builder who builds racing engines did the machine work on the block and heads.

Yes the harmonic Balancer is in included with the engine. i can also include the clutch setup if interested for an additional price.

Clutch set up: converted camaro LT1 flywheel, McCleod clutch disk, stock Pressure plate. this will mate to a ZF6 trans. Additional $550

Thanks

The engine is still installed in the car i plan to leave it so people can hear it run. once again this is for the long block only no accessories, intake, or dizzy.

OK, thanks for the info.

I'm considering options for replacing the L48 in my C3.

I think a 383 @ about 375-400HP is a nice combo without getting
too far out on the limb.

yup, this is a very good street engine, idles nice, drives nice, and still has enough power to have some fun

with the 113 heads and older stile carb intake will bolt right on as well.

Thanks for looking

So is that an LT1 based engine and would the usual SBC(L48 style) accessories work with the long block?

No, it is a GEN 1 SBC it has a converted LT1 intake on it. yes i believe the L48 accessories would bolt right on, the 113 heads have the standard mounting points for the accessories.

Thanks

I asked my wife if I could have this for Christmas. She asked if it came with a place to sleep, or a better lawyer than her brother is. Maybe next time.
If I can't have it, I can still give you a ride to the top.
