Default fs champion 3 core aluminum radiator 89-96

Brand new will require modification of the stock mounting pads.

$200 shipped o/bo/o to your door. Will upload pictures as it is new in the box.

No filter neck for your model year and will fit all 1990 to 1996 C4 Corvette including LT1, LT4 and late model L98.

Thanks

Direct fit (other than the mounting pad mod?)

How much for local pick up?

For you Jeff $150 local and yes just modify the mounting tabs.

Search this forum and you will see multiple postings on the install.

And worse case scenario you may need to trim the fan shroud as shown here.

http://www.rondavisradiators.com/W3S...tructions1.pdf

I can measure the champion core to see if it is 57mm which is the same as the Ron Davis radiator in the above link.

Polo. I'm betting this radiator is ZR1 specific because the years (application) doesn't correspond to the split in L98/LTx cars. Plus, the OP owns a ZR1...as does Jeff.

The ZR-1 uses the same radiator as the L98/LT1/LT4 cars. It is not LT-5 specific.

No radiator cap. Not sure what year they stopped the radiator cap on the L98 cars.

I think 90 was the last year for a cap. (Many ads for radiators show 84-90 and 91-96). After that, I THINK the radiators were mounted on a slight rearward tilt (another reason I thought they weren't the same model.) Because non-ZR1 application split didn't correspond to your listing, I thought ZR1's had their own design. Please accept my apology. I guess one can convert to the cap-less models for the earlier years?

I guess the cooling system for the older cars can be converted but I am not sure.

PLEASE DO NOT POST IN-ACCURATE INFORMATION OR ASSUMPTIONS ON MY THREAD. I BELIEVE MR GREGGPENN HAS COST ME THE SALE OF THIS RADIATOR BY ASSUMING THAT IT WOULD NOT FIT ANYTHING BESIDES THE ZR-1 WHICH IS NOT TRUE.

https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...s-dewitts.html

Wish you would have bought the radiator pologreen1 as I would make a great deal on it.

Thanks a lot Gregg for posting on my thread in accurate info!

To be fair and clear, Gregg did not cost you my sale. My car is a '90 and does not require the cap since it has the lay back style with surge tank. I did however choose to buy a new one with the cap for the older versions since I don't want the surge tank crap in the car.

I think you have a great deal going here for the right person. I think others are more to blame by saying with out knowing the facts if these radiators are in fact inferior to American ones in other current threads. I did buy a Champion 3 core, but with the cap.

GLWS and this is no fault of Gregg.

did you buy the 89 style or custom for the 90 with cap?

the 90 and 89 are different sizes

This is a bump for a good deal, and hopefully not a hijack but helps others. I bought the model #CC829 this is claiming 84-90 which I know is a mistake on their part.

I'll see if it works or not, I know it won't fit right in, but if it looks way off I'll send it back since they said '90 and I know it's not correct.

Looking forward to trying the Champion radiator.
