1989 Bose Radio / CD Player
#21
Le Mans Master
I just bought the car last fall, I didn't put the radio in, the mounting ears are correct for the corvette. It does not say bose on it, but if it wasn't it wouldn't play with with the bose speakers. I have the amps but they are all in the speaker boxes that came from the factory.
I think the best and easiest way is that I can ship it to you and you pay with paypal that way we don't have to make special trips. I will PM you my info.

The outputs are amplified and this is not really suitable for a Bose system, its not a Bose.

That would most likely blow the Bose Amps which could be what happened to you.
I guess I need to see what the outputs look like as far as power before I can make an intelligent decision.

I already have bought the radio so I guess I need to check the power at the outputs to see if the radio can be used without any amps.
I'm not sure my amps are working correctly anyway because the front speakers don't seem to have any volume even with the fader turned all the way to the front.
The seller says the connectors all match perfectly so I assumed it would plug and play.
I'm not sure what car this radio was made for. I would like to come up with a manual.
Hopefully the car audio guy nearby will have some knowledge about it. Thanks again for warning me
