Default WTB original 86 torque converter or better

Hey guys
I am chasing an original torque converter for my 86 vette (GM part number #8650919, stall speed 2025) or anything better.
Must be able to ship outside the states or could organise my own shipping

Thank you

I have one from a 92 4l60 which I replaced with an Edge 3,000 rpm stall. Shipping would probably be more than the part i.e. they ain't light and u live way far away

I have been told that the 85 & 86 torque converters had a slightly higher stall speed than the later c4s. Btw how is the edge doing for you? Any recommendations?
Thank you

The 86 does have a better stall rate. You can buy a rebuilt one from GM BUT, BUT,BUT , the converter from an s-10 truck can be bought new for about the same price and its a direct replacement for the truck AND a corvette. I will have to look around for the info I have on it and where I got it from. 3 years ago I puled my tranny and did the s-10 converter on my 86 z-51.
found it. http://www.corvettefaq.com/c3/THE%20...%20Upgrade.htm

needs to be a certain year s10 if I remember. 96? maybe?

They cost about 150 or less on ebay. It's a cheap cheat but if you make more power later it won't do.

Its a Chevy/ GM part. Any place that sells parts should be able to get you one. A factory dealer would be quicker. Pologreen is correct, their good to about 400 horse power. Your Vette is putting out 235 HP is stock form.
