F/S late model 87-94 TPIS 700-701 SOLID ROLLER CAM and CC306 Hydraulic roller cam
I bought the SOLID ROLLER from Wheels up for my 6" rod ROAD RACING 383, but my machinist said I would need a .900" SMALL BASE CIRCLE cam. You can concact Wheels Up[on the cam for verification. The CC-306 cam is actually a LONG DOWEL PIN version, but that pin can be tapped in to work in any 87-up L-98 or 92-94 LT-1. These are both standard base circle cams. I want what I paid shipped for each, $175. Or they can be bought together for $330 shipped in the lower 48 states. I am willing to trade one of these cams for an EARLY MODEL STYLE .900" small base circle HYDRAULIC ROLLER CAM for my 6" rod SUPER-RAMMED STREET 406. Thanks everyone  :flag :steering:

Re: F/S late model 87-94 TPIS 700-701 SOLID ROLLER CAM and CC306 Hydraulic roller cam (Dr. Doom)
Hey Dr.Doom, they are both used. The CC306 had less than 3000 miles on it, and the SOLID ROLLER, I'm not sure, Phil, AKA "Wheels-up" could tell you this information, since I bought it from him :D. Thanks for the inquiry. :flag

Re: F/S late model 87-94 TPIS 700-701 SOLID ROLLER CAM and CC306 Hydraulic roller cam (6SSPD)
Forgive a newbie here... I gots lots of questions. You mentioned tapping the dowel pin on the cc306 to make it fit an 87 & up L98... Would this be a good cam for a stock 350? or would be better off with the solid roller cam?
I also noticed you have 6sspd in parenthesis... What in the world does this mean?
Any help is greatly appreciated :)

The TPIS 700-701 cam for sale here is actually my old cam.I bought it brand new. I put maybe 2000 miles on it. For me and my 421 CI engine... it wasn't enough., I need more cam. I sold it to Wheels Up... and he never ran it. He sold it to 6 speed, and he never ran it. This cam still looks brand new. So that is the history... and if you have any questions, you can contact me. There is absolutley nothing wrong with this cam.

Yes it will work with a 96 LT-4, but it will need the CORRECT DOWEL PIN. HTH's, and let me know :steering: :chevy :flag

I am looking at doing a cam swap and was considering the 306 but I think its just a little too much durtion for a stock heads LT4 with gears and headers. I'm not worried about emmisions, just drivability.

Re: F/S late model 87-94 TPIS 700-701 SOLID ROLLER CAM and CC306 Hydraulic roller cam (Dr. Evil)
Hey Dr. Evil, there are many 4th Gen F-BODIES that use the 306 with stock or ported LT-1 heads with pretty good success. Your LT-4 heads should work better than those stock LT-1 pieces, check it out at the camaro z-28 site, plus read some of their results, and if you decide that it will work for you, let me know. Thanks :flag :steering:
