FS: Comp XR288 Hydraulic roller cam, lifters, springs, pushrods, retainers
This is a preliminary ad to see if there is interest in this set. All the hardware has ~2500 miles and is in good shape. I pulled the motor to do some more headwork and want to go to a bigger solid roller cam. I would like to sell the whole set.
The Cam is a Comp Cams XR-288-HR part #12-433-8
Has a cast gear for normal distributor (no bronze needed)
Specs are as follows:
Adv Duration: 288I/294E
Duration @ .050: 236I/242E
Lift: .555"I(1.6:1 rocker)/.540"E(1.5:1 rocker)
110LS, 106CL
Pushrods are .100" short Crane heat treated for HR cam.
Lifers are Crane Hydraulic roller lifters
Springs are 1.460" dual spring with damper, 345lb rate, .575" max lift, 130lbs seat, 330lbs open.
Retainers are moly steel with 10 degree locks
Rocker arms are a split set (8-1.6/8-1.5) Crane Energizer roller rockers with 3/8 Stud
This includes EVERYTHING to convert an older block to a rollercam. These parts new are ~$1200.
I"m asking $550 OBO.
This setup ran great in my 406, but while its out of the car its a good time to "upgrade."
Price Reduced to $550
 :cheers

I have the same cam setup on the shelf in my garage. I also tried selling it here a few months back, but got no intrest either :nonod: I think it may be too much cam for a lot of guys
You might want to try and post it on the f body boards and see what happens.

 Yeah I was wondering why such a stagnant response, its a great cam.
I don't see how its "too much" I thought it was a really good midrange setup and it ran like stink. All you out there...don't be afraid of the "rump rump."
What cam did you end up going with? I am considering the XR280R from Comp (242/248 @ .050).
What F-bod boards do you suggest?
Thanks!
sure you don't want another one on that shelf...the whole twins thing is .... :jester :jester
