Will the internals work in an LT-1 from an L-98 style block. I have a Lunati crankshaft with 5.850 rods and J&E pistons in my L-98 built by Lingenfelter. I have the long block sitting here not torn apart yet. Haven't decided what to do yet as to selling it or using it in another car. Has about 25000 miles on it.

How much are you selling it for???? This summer I am planning on getting a new engine or rebuilding mine.

I don't know, I would have to dissassemble the whole thing and sell off the block and heads. I would rather sell as an assembly. I know the rods and crank are worth $2800 new by themselves. I don't know what they are worth used but it has relatively low miles, about 25000. I had Lingenfelter build the engine. But I don't know if this setup will work in the LT-1 block or not. I'm from Tallahassee Fla. myself. I went to high school there at Leon.

If I were going to buy anything, it would be the whole long block. Do you have an estimate on what the used long block is worth to you?
Thats cool you are from Tally as well. I had a lot of friends that went to Leon. I went to school at RFM, but my brother is currently a senior at SAIL.

Now, if you are looking for a L-98 setup, this is the 440 hp. Lingenfelter package with the superam. I have all of it including injectors except for the throttle body I sold. It's a bulletproof setup with Oliver billet rods, 5.850", 4340 Lunati crankshaft, and J&E custom forged pistons. I had the shortblock built by LPE and the heads done there as well. Combustion chambers cc'd to 64ccs and approx. 11:1 comp. I have excellent LPE headers and exhaust as well. Have all receipts to go with it. I'll let it all go for $6500. I know this sound high, but I don't have to sell it and it runs great.

I would love to have that under my hood, but I am afraid I can not afford it right now, at least not until after I graduate this spring. Maybe this summer if you still have it...

I don't understand. If what I have is good according to what you said, then it is a good bargain. And like I said, I have all paperwork. We all know what it costs to put premium parts into these cars. If a buyer wanted to pull the pan off to have a look I would. The intake is off the engine and everything is preserved right now. If someone can find an engine built by LPE much cheaper, more power to them. Seriously.
