Blowerworks or somebody in the S/C biz...
I sent Blowerworks an IM but they may have been too busy to get to it. Either way I'm in a situation that's pretty rare to me; I need some help with a blower install. I've got a customer's car, a 1980 Vette, that is running a 420" small block (FAST EFI, MiniRam, etc) and using a serpentine belt system off of a late L98 Vette. In fact, the serp system that was formerly on my 1990 Vette... This customer is from Albuquerque and it having to deal with the 6800' of altitude out there his 10.00:1 420" doesn't make the beans to satisfy him so we're installing a Vortech V2 T-trim along with a liquid to air intercooler. As usual I prefer to fabricate most of the system myself...Except for the blower bracket if I can help it. I need bracketry, pulleys, and tensioners to install the head unit; I could build them if I: A) Wanted to. B) Had the time. I have neither and would be tickled to no ends if I could use a L98 Vette system (hence the L98 serp system). I know Vortech never made an L98 system but Carroll did using a Vortech head unit. I'm pretty sure that an ATI bracket would not work with the Vortech head unit without considerable modification.
What I need is the S/C bracketry and related components. If it IS necessary for me to completely fabricate this I do have an old Moroso S/C bracket I had on a big block, Vortech blown boat that I could re-engineer...I'd just prefer not to have to do that.
