Help with VATS
"87 Corvette Daily driver. All of a sudden would not crank. Tried jumping, tried spare key, nothing
Found no signal to starter. Found starter interupt relay and provided grd where VATS module should. Now car cranks but doesn't start.
Good spark to plugs, no fuel injector pulse, and no fuel pressure.
Did some research to find out VATS modulesends signal to ECM to tell ECM to activate fuel system. Bought VATS bypass and vehicle still has no injector pulse or fuel pressure.
I am thinking that the computer is bad. The VATS bypass sends a 30Hz signal to processor (assuming it is working), so I think I eliminated everything in the VATS sytem. ANY IDEAS of how to test it?
Everyone and their mother told me it was the key cylinder or wire in steering column from cylinder, so even though I was getting the proper resistance reading at the module, I obtained a new key cylinder with no luck.
Thanks

You should be able to run a wire from the positive side of the battery to terminal G on the ALDL ...only pin on the bottom row, this should turn the fuel pump on...that by passes the normal wiring. That should get you fuel pressure to the schrader valve. BTW, check the injector fuses.

Good suggestions/posts above. I would start with obtaining fuel pressure then see why your not getting injector pulses. Could be a few reasons why your not getting the injector ref pulses (fuses, wiring, VATS, and ECM drivers) come to mind.
