Just got a 1989 Corvette that's been sitting for a few years
Hey ! I picked this 89' Corvette up from a man who had it sitting in his driveway for a couple years for a grand. The body has some cracking. The car will turn on, but the engine will not start. I currently have 4 other Corvettes of the same model and make at my disposal at a local junkyard, that I can use to take off and put on parks. First, I would like to get it running. Any suggestions?
I also wanted to know how to take the hood off, and lights off the hood. Thanks

Your car has VATS
read

Needs to read correct resistance on the pellet on the key before it will engage the starter and fire the fuel injectors
Try cleaning the key and the contacts inside the switch where it fits )
If you do a search on here ;many posts about how to diagnose VATS problems.
In the 1st instance I would hot wire the starter and confirm it actually works before getting to the VATS system
