1988 L98 Oil Temperature Indicator question
My oil temperature gauge read 320, with the warning indicator.
I changed the oil, and for a half-day, the gauge continued to read 320.
It later changed to 192.
Is my gauge broken or do I have an engine issue?

Most likely a short to ground in the wiring. That will cause the temperature to read very high.
