Default CO2 tuning on my C4 L98 Fuel Injection

I have a L98 fuel injection engine in my car, and it does not run so well. It is perceived as if it gets too much fuel, and the spark plugs get extremely easy wet. Can someone please tell me how to adjust CO2 on this engine. Or do you have some other ideas.

CO2 in the 14-15% range indicates proper fuel mix and high catalyst efficiency...Perhaps you meant CO (which is a post combustion indicator of rich running).

The biggest single feedback device on modern fuel injected cars would be the oxygen sensor(s). You could check to see if that is working.

I'm sorry I'm not so familiar with the terms. I live in Norway and just bought the car from USA.

Is it possible to adjust the CO like we do on cars with carburettor

You CAN adjust the CO (fuel mixture), but all parameters must be programmed on the ECM PROM (chip).

Most likely there is something fooling the computer to give too much fueling. A bad sensor input somewhere.

As above odds are a sensor-it would not always set the check engine light.
Should be able to find an obd1 scan tool from ebay even there. scan it and post what you find.
Lottsa folk here to help.
Common problems that would apply-O2 sensor slow to change millivolt readings rich/lean and temp sensor always reading low.
