Default Tunerpro $8D scanner question and tuner question

I have a few questions on Tunerpro for a 1990 corvette. I currently tune with Tunercat and scan with ease diagnostic software but I have decided to try and learn Tunerpro since most people use this software, plus learning an additional software package has its advantages.

The issue I am having with Tunerpro for the 1990 corvette is I cannot find a $8D XDF file, all I see is a super.ecu file how do I use this or where do I find a $8D XDF file?

Next issue, the tunerpro scanner does not appear to work correctly in V5, the data jumps all over the place (Does not appear to be stable). I have tried the two fixes that I have found on data base searchs on the Tunerpro web site and they have not worked. The fixes were changing the ADX. ALDL dump request body size from 66 to 67 and adding a pause of 20ms in the commands of the ADX. file and neither has improved the unstable data condition. What am I missing? So far I am not impressed with Tunerpro!

Thanks for your help.

Regarding the xdf...you need to import from the *.ecu file and save as *.xdf. Look for Import under the XDF menu. I didn't have and 8D xdf handy, so I had to do the same thing.

90 Corvettes seem to have some connecting issues due to the ccm traffic. I think Mick finally got his 90 to work, but it may have been an old V4 version....going back a few years, so not sure what he did to get it to work.

Brian, sorry I didn't see this sooner! You can use the super.ecu in place of $8d as they are the same but super.edu has more options to adjust.

As for the unstable data make sure the files you're using are TunerPro V5 compatible. Some are for v4.
