4L60 Converter lock/unlock settings help..
What mph should I set in TUNERCAT for converter to lock and unlock at?. 396LT1 2800Rpm Vigilante and 3.73 gears in Corvette. 4L60/700R4.Right now its set at lock at 52 and unlock at 42. Not sure if those speeds are right.

From what I could tell with your current setup of 52/42 settings the following would be the Lock/unlock rpm per gear.
2nd Gear 4300/3400 rpm
3rd Gear 2550/2050 rpm
4th gear 1800/1450 rpm
2nd Gear 4300/3400 rpm
3rd Gear 2550/2050 rpm
4th gear 1800/1450 rpm

I am thinking a 10 mph unlock/lock difference isnt normal and 52mph is too high.

I would set it at 45/40 and then take it for a drive and see how you like it.
This 45/40 setting would give the following results
2nd Gear 3600/3200 rpm
3rd Gear 2200/1950 rpm
4th Gear 1550/1380 rpm
This 45/40 setting would give the following results
2nd Gear 3600/3200 rpm
3rd Gear 2200/1950 rpm
4th Gear 1550/1380 rpm

Well, I changed it to the speeds recommended. I now without a shadow of a adoubt no why my car feels like it is surging. When the TC is locked it lugs it and due to cam etc it surges.
I need to set it to where it doesnt lock till later so when I am cruising in town at 45 and below it is not locked..

You didn't mention a year? It's 4L60/700 Type Trans?
If it's not an "E" Trans and if it were mine, I'd change the PSI switch routing on the valve body so it locks in 4th only. You can get a delay psi switch to prevent stacking if you want or it becomes a problem, and then tune it out from there with laptop thingy.

The info here I have for 93 is mixed.
1) If it has a TV cable, there's pressure switches behind the shift valves, and those can close and permit lockup in third on some 700/4l60 type units. I would wire past all of them but the on the 4th gear. There are delay switches available also. (They're fairly simple, a grounding type switch. Solenoid has polarity, so don't reverse it or you'll blow the diode.)
2) If it does NOT have a TV cable, it's an "E" type unit (93 was the first year for those, or very close.) and the shift strategy is computer controlled, so you're stuck with tuner thingy to make adjustments.
