I am looking for some help with tuning my car that is running an Accel Gen 7 fuel management system.

There is a basic tune on the system currently that seems to be running very rich. Under hard throttle the car begins to bog down and will die. Many times it will have to sit awhile before re-firing.

I'm not really sure where to begin.... timing or spark issue? Fuel mapping issue? Other issues related to the Gen 7?

I originally brought it to a local 'performance shop' just to find out that they have no idea what they are doing. Their idea of performance tuning is plugging in a tuner to an OBDII port on a C5 or C6 and pressing a button. So now I plan to do it on my own.

Any advice or ideas on how I should go about tuning this system would be greatly appreciated. I can post additional information about the car and engine if needed.
