Default tune up advice for my 85

Hi everyone, new to the site.

I recently bought my Dads 85 off him [original owner ) and want to get her running smooth again. It has 80,000km on it, and gets started monthly and driven every Cpl months or more. Has a rough idle sometimes and needs valve cover gaskets done for sure. I felt a few spark plug wires and hey were too hot to touch! While others where just warm.
I was planning on changing plugs & wires and doing valve gaskets. Just wondering if I should change fuel injectors too? If so, can anyone recommend size injector for a stock 85?
And is anyone can chime in on any other maintenance I should be preforming.

This car is very sentimental to me, would like it running like the day he bought it.

Thanks!

Rough idle is frequently caused by a vacuum leak.

I don't recall ever feeling a spark plug wire, so I have no comment on that... My car is missing a heater core right now so I can't do a test feel.

For fuel injectors, call Jon at FIC:

A few things I have done to smooth out my old idle. Do a factory idle adjust as you can find it here. And I just replaced my 30 year old brake booster(might have been leaking) but my brakes work better. I wonder if they may develop an internal leak of some kind. Change vacume hoses 1 at a time. I would not change injectors if nothing is wrong. I just found a broken u joint and replaced halfshaft u joints so I cant wait for a test drive.
Good Luck
NOTE I would not touch a spark wire at all! Just look at them to see if they have cracks or at night for sparks flying.
