Default LS1/LS6 Firing Order vs. LT1/LT4

Does the LS1/LS6 engines have a different firing order than the LT1/LT4? Every LS1/LS6 I've heard with a Cat-back exhaust system has this high frequency sound. Not like the typical SBC V8 sound we get from a LT1/LT4. I'm wondering if they have a different firing order.

I'll try to find a video so you know the sound I'm talking about.

The LS1 swaps 4 & 7 in the firing order.

Firing order is an interesting science... it can change power, by improving exhaust scavaging, it can change exhaust note... it can effect balance.

Facinating thing...

Yeah, for sure. I kinda like the sound of the LS1, makes it sound more "exotic".

They changed the firing order because they found it made the engine have a smoother idle and smoother running in testing, if my memory is correct.
