you should pick up a haynes or chiltons manual. it will explain how to do this, fairly easily. you can find these at most parts stores. this way, you have the instructions handy, right in front of you while you are doing the work.

I always remember the firing order as a phone number.
1-843-6572.Then put the distributor in pointing at #1 with both the intake & exhaust rocker arms loose. On the compression stroke.Or up what ever you want to call it.
On the dist. cap the # 1 plug wire should be pointing towards the right front of the car .Basicly if your looking down on the car the # 1 wire should be about 1oclock.
I dont know if this helps but its basic knowlege.Anyone of your fiends should be able to help you out.

Or, you can save yourself some money and do it by the trial and error method. If you install each wire simply by guessing, it will only take 40,320 attempts before you are guaranteed to get the correct firing order.

This is from the Chilton manual, It applies to my '88.
Most auto parts stores sell these manuals
