Brake parts quest??
Just had brakes done on my 91 vette. Wont mention the shop but they didn't put the clips back on the front pads which apparently dont come with the new pads. Well those clips are now in the garbage somewhere. Thats what I get for being lazy and not doing it myself. Does anyone know the name for these clips so that I can order them myself instead of the hassle and BS of dealing with this shop. In helms manual they call them bias springs but when I look these up on line they are actually springs???

Napa sells a kit for the front brakes that includes the clips and cotter pin. It's $9 unfortunately I don't have the part number in my office but you can find it on there website.

When you go to get the kit, make sure that you specify whether or not you have heavy duty brakes. The pins are different between standard and heavy duty -- they have the c-clip groove in different locations on the pin.

I hope you mean the clips that go on the ends of the pads and not the clips that go with the caliper pins like these other guys mentioned.
Every brake pad set I've bought or helped on someones car came with those clips in the box.
