Default AutoXray shows car at only 99% when floored

Today I hooked up my car to an Autoxray to check if my throttle position sensor was correct. It registered .54 volts with the car in the on postion. And 4.01 volts when floored. But when floored it said that my throttle angle was 99%. My question is if this is going to affect the performance of my car. At what percantage does the car recognize WOT? Also when I ran the car the tps would register .56 volts. Is something wrong with the sensor, scanner, or both? Thanks,
my car is a 1993 auto.

I think you're in good shape. When you say you "ran" the car and TPS was .56, what do yu mean by "ran"?

I meant turning on the engine. So it was .54 volts with the key in the on position and .56 volts when the motor was actualy running. Is this wierd?

Not really, I have seen that in my Corvette and my GN. It's only .02 volts, hardly going to make a difference in performance. The ECM uses quite a bit of change (delta) in TPS when making decisions, and as long as you are not way out of whack, like 1V at idle or 2.5 volts at WOT the car is still going to operate, it's just not optimized like the .5 and above 4.0 settings.

Anthor thing to think about is the computer goes into WOT mode anytime the throttle is pass say 80%.

Its not really worht it to sweat that last %

You might want to get out of the car and have a buddy push the throttle all the way down. Observe the throttle blades and make sure they are opening all the way. After years the gas pedal linkages can bend

Hey Raysur, have not seen much of you lately. For some reason mine reads 99% with auto x ray, but will read 100% with datamaster. By the way, my air cleaner is working great!!

My car started to feel really slow.. I checked the TPS with the throttle mashed... it read 3.72V!! Sure enough the throttle blades were not fully open...what a difference after fixing it!!
