window regulator removal?
Can anyone tell me how to remove the power window motor . I have a 1990 Vette and my passenger window seems not to be working. I'm pretty sure it is the motor. The panel was easy to remove but now to get the regulator out seems to be in need of several nights of prayer. I need help!
thx in advance

Since you have the door panel off you can see an aluminum plate that is held to the door by about 8 bolts. Take these out and remove the plate, your door handle rod and door lock rod are both snapped into plastic clips on the backside, note their location and snap them out. You can now see two 10mm nuts on studs at the rear of the window and one at the front. You will have to have the window at it's halfway position if possible.Take these out, now you have to find a way to support the window at it's highest position, I use two of those plastic clamps you can get at the hardware store. Once the window is separated from the regulator and held up you now have two 10mm bolts on the top of the door and two 10mm bolts on the bottom. Take these out and then unplug the pigtail from the motor, you have to turn the regulator to get the top out of the door, when you get it out then just lift the regulator out. I would suggest that once you get the aluminum plate out that you take a test light and make sure you have power to the pigtail first.
