Default Just installed an SLP Claw air intake - need some ideas

I bought an SLP claw from someone here and recieved it yesterday. It was in excellent condition (like new) - I don't even think it had been used. I just got finished installing it on my 94 coupe, and it looks pretty cool. Only problem I have is that I need to extend the air hose that connects the air fitting on the "Claw" to the air pump down on the drivers side front corner by the marker lights. I measured the I.D. and the tubing required is 3/4" I.D. - I was just wondering if anyone has done this before, or if SLP has a direct replacement air tube that is longer and fits the application. Any ideas appreciated on this Wonderfull 4th of July, Independance Day weekend.

I've got the same set up on my 96 , just go to your local parts store ( autozone for me ) & buy a little filter like for your valve cover , it works great , about 8 to 10 dollars.

Thanks for the tip - I went to AutoZone and just picked up a piece of 3/4" heater hose in black, a coupler, two stainless hose clamps and cut a 7" piece of tubing to re-connect the pump with the air inlet on the intake. It actually looks good.

I was hoping that SLP had a ready made piece that went between the two without the added McGuiverism required.

BTW - I took it for a spin and I see no added performance, SOP feeling, sound or otherwise at this point. It appears to be a "Bling" mod only. A little "Bling" is Ok in my book. It would be better "Bling" if it were chrome!!

HAHA i just started a thread a couple of hours ago, with the same exact question about the hose.

Also i stated the same thing, looks good, but not much difference in performance.

But hey it looks pretty good

Also an FYI , its made out of 304 stainless, so under that black powder coating is a nice shiney surface just waiting to be polished.

I dont like shiney things, so ill keep it black.

What you did w/ the hose looks good but it looks like the hood may be closing on one or more of your filters. The one in the middle looks like it is creased. You may want to adjust them. Good luck, Guy
