Lot of good talk about the KYB's for street applications and Jegs has them for $60 a set (front or back) with free shipping. I think I'll be giving these a try very soon myself.

Monroe shocks aren't 'cheap' in price. In fact I bet they are about what Billstein's cost.
I only have them on my daily driver, and not on my vette. Nothing special, but nothing bad either on that.
