Default ZF6 Clutch Adjustment

I recently completed the conversion on my 88 from a 4+3 to the ZF. Included in the swap was a Fidenza aluminum flywheel and Valeo puck style "stage 3" clutch from Carolina Clutch. We changed out the bellhousing using the ZF housing. I also installed the 89 ZF master cylinder and slave sylinder. Everything is working well and the tranny shifts smooth as silk, but the clutch does not engage until it's at the end of it's stroke. In other words, the clutch pedal needs to be the whole way off the floor to engage. I have bled, and re-bled the system but it doesn't seem to change anything. The last time we used a home made preassure bleeder. I could really use some help on where to look for the solution. Any and all thooughts are appreciated.

There is no adjustment in the hydraulic clutch that I am aware of. If I read your post right, then the clutch is engaging near the top of the pedal travel. I would think this is much preferable to engaging near the floor.

Obviously, different cars, but my clutch starts grabbing about 2/3 the way out, and really takes hold at just about the top. I've had it checked a couple of times, and was assured that it is fine. I wouldn't worry about it.

Before I had it bled, it would take hold at the bottom, in fact, the clutch was so far out of adjustment, the car would "lurch" when I put it in first or reverse.

My 90 does the same thing; no slippage?! Must be the way they are.

My '95 grabs maybe 3 inches off the floor. Been that way forever, before and after I changed the clutch (which is stock).
