How to:Hood alignment + shims...
Last weekend I had increasing vibration at the front left side of the Vette.
Thought of everything : from the wheel / tyre to the engine.
Well, I checked yesterday and it turns out that the hinge from the hood got one screw loose and lost it plus all the shims are gone in the lateral adjustment part. The two screws that hold them are still there but no nuts to hold them.
Anyone knows where I can get this shims and has anyone used just a pile of washers instead?
Could this work??
THIS IS OK:

I used cut sheet metal to align my bumper not too long ago in replace of shims. You could probably do the same. Or if you want you can go to www.vette2vette.com which is a corvette salvage yard and get those for pretty cheap.
