Default Where's Fuel Filter on '85?

Will someone please tell me where the fuel filter is located on an '85 coupe. Thanks.

If it is the same as my 86 it will be loacted on behind the right front wheel. It is on the frame. Got to crawl under and look towards the outside of the car.

I believe it is on the passengers side inside frame rail just in front of the door. mine was tough to break loose, use a backup wrench so you don't twist the fuel line

it IS under the car on the passenger side just behind the front wheel like they say.
i used 2 flare nut wrenches when i did mine - (obvioualy - one for the fuel line, one for the filter)

when you are up under the car you might want to check and see if there is also a filter on the return line, there is on my 87, it is a canister type

just did my 86's and pulled the FP fuse while its was runnning till it died, took the gas cap off, and still got a fuel bath? i did it on a lift, amde life easier!!

As noted above, relieve the pressure on the line.

It may help to jack the front up as high as your equipment will allow, be sure to remove the gas cap, if the fuel level is low, you may not get much residual fuel. This job can get messy with the wrong setup.
