Default ZF6 swap... wiring backup lights

I wasn't really paying any attention to this when installing mine. There's a reverse gear switch somewhere on the trans or shifter that I need to wire up for my reverse lights to work.

Where is it? I have one connnector on the side of the trans, I assume is for the skipshift. I don't remember what else is there.

Anyone got pics of the ZF?

Default B/U switch

High and forward of the skip shift solenoid. Very near the top and forward very close to the top left mounting flange to bellhousing. The solenoid has a pigtail and connector. The B/U switch doesn't. I do have a "good" pic. Drop your email addy to me in a PM. I'm not at the computer that has your email information.

I also have to replace the back-up switch. Can someone indicate which switch it is? Red, Yellow or Blue.

I'm pretty sure that blue is the speed sensor.

Default Pics

Your pics should be there! I've got a couple new ZF's for the L98, LT1 and LT4's. I've got a couple for the LT5's but I might just hang on to them.

Default Red

Are you sure yours is bad? It's on the pricey side. Do it while it's on the ground! It's tough in the car. There is a K/M tool. I recall ZF Doc "used" to do a loan. I heard I believe it wasn't returned so maybe that's not a possible anymore.

B/U switch is the "red" dot!

It is the red one.

Yellow is CAGS solenoid, blue is VSS.
