Rear hatch struts on my 91 coupe
I need to replace the rear hatch struts on my 91 coupe. Is this a big deal? Any special tools required? Do the replacement struts need to be specialized because there is a rear defogger?
A detailed, step by step "how to" would be great if anyone can help me.
Thanks!

For the 86 (I have to try to remember to always say that because GM changes stuff so often) there are male connector/prongs on each end of the struts used to connect the defogger. So I figure the ones for defogger equipped cars have the connectors.
Does GM even make a Vette WITHOUT rear hatch defogger? Anyway . . .
Removal and installation is easy. There are semi-circular clips on each end that I just popped off using a thin blade screwdriver. Then I just pulled off the old and pressed on with the new; replaced the clip and plugged in the defogger.
No special tools were needed.
