Default Same old code 33 Question.

Started with intermittent engine lite, finally got a code's 33 & 34.
replaced burn-off relay and maf relay, code 34 cleared but it did not clear code 33. Tried two different bosch Mass air flow sensors, but it did not clear 33. have checked vacum hoses and all electrical connections & still unable to clear 33. car runs strong but a little rich. 86 coupe auto with 28k miles

thank you for your help.

Stupid question but did you clear all the old codes before installing the new part?

Someone here just went through this. I think he found it was either the fuel pump relay or the wiring to it that was causing the problem.

Check your TPS for proper operation and reset it. This solved my intermittent code 33 problems on my '88.

Try replacing the FP relay-"the oil pressure switch or the ECM, through control of the fuel pump relay, will provide 12 volts for the MAF power relay which provides the 12 volts needed by the MAF sensor". Key-through control of the FP relay.
