Default Thank you very much I did what you said I took off the tee fitting a look I was burnt

For reference purposes, this is the vacuum check valve on LT1 engines:



You can get one of these at any auto parts store for about $4.

This is true, but instead of buying regular rubber hoses, splurge online and buy silicone hoses that are heat resistant. It worked for me.

and if that part is melted or not working how would I get a new one
would you know a part number?

I am sorry, but I just assume if the part melted, then the entire controller unit is useless, thus you would look for a salvage replacement from a scrap yard for entire unit. That said if only that multi-tap connector is melted, I am at loss as to how to "rebuild".

Blue 260 is right on. 5 dollar part. Comes up as a different part number. Easy to replace. Air is blowing out all vents. Thanks Blue

Blue 260 was tight on also. A $5 part. Blowing like crazy out dadh vents.

There is a similar part on L98s. It is a vacuum check valve. It's located next to the distributor on the driver's side:
