Hi guys, im looking to change the O2 sensor on my car, i thought i had only on on my 91 L98, i had my car in to have the differential fluid changed, i asked them about the O2 sensor, they told me i have 4 of them not 1. How many do i really have. Are the mistaking other sensors for O2 sensors?

I bet those three other injectors are hard to replace, must s#*k trying find them let alone get wrench on them . I would tell them that you just want to replace the one on the drivers side exhaust pipe and let the others go. Maybe they will give you a discount.
Seriously... L98 engines only have one O2 sensor on them, have it checked out by someone else.

Did the service writer tell you this? or the mechanic? I can understand the service writer not knowing, but not the mechanic. I doubt there is a production car on the planet that has 4 O2 sensors! Whatever you do, take the advice of several answers, including mine, DO NOT let that place work on your car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Quite a few do - pretty much everything from '96 up - 1 in each header, 1 in front of the CAT and 1 afterwards. I'm waiting for an O2 in each exhaust tube (which I believe is commonly rigged up by some of the better engine builders or tuners though they may only be measuring exhaust temp) along with an electronic or solenoid activated valve train (Volvo promises that this summer).

A dealer told me that I had 2 on my 89 and I just asked for my keys back. I should have bet them $5,000.00 that because they were just trying to get me to bend over and rob me. I would have won teh bet and taken a lawsuit against, Michael Holley Chevrolet, in Lakeland, FL. Don't ever do business with those crooks!!! A cap and rotor on my 89 Vette change costs $258 and some change.

I thought that only in Croatia you can get robbed like that. When I first bought my vette, few months later I had intake gasket failure. I tried to order gaskets from local GM parts "dealer" and he asked $200 for intake gasket set. That was first and last time I tried to buy anything here.

I'm pretty sure all L98's have only one O2 sensor. My friend's dad has a new F150 and it has 8 O2 sensors. I couldnt believe it, he had to take out each one to find the one that wasnt working. Took him all day
