Default SLP Cold-Air Induction System

I have a stock 92 LT1 and want to keep it close to stock (no changes to the internal engine). Has anyone intalled a SLP Cold-Air Induction System in their C4 ? Will it provide better performance ?

The CLAW is not a true cold-air setup, it draws air from the same place as the stock setup and the surface area of the 3 filters is approx. the same as the stock filter. You'd get the same performance by cutting open the stock air lid.

It looks good, sounds good, but does little.

First advice I got after joining was to open up the stock airbox lid and go to K&N. When I opened my filter box it had the original filthy AC filter in it. (47K miles). I cut opening out and flared out the top of the lid to catch max air. Man what a difference in sound and seat of the pants kick. Finally a cheap mod that worked!

I purchased one a couple of years ago. No performance change, looks good and easy to clean K & N filters. Paid $200.00 used on Ebay which included three new filters.

I installed a cold ram air by cutting a hole where the front license plate was. This included a K&N air filter. I definitenly noticed better gas mileage but the SOP is the same, maybe better.
