I'd love to "old school" (since I'm old) my 86. My biggest question is what affect does the carb have on emissions and economy? My other thought was something stand alone like holly projection. I saw a Corvette someone had carbed and replaced the dash with analog guages. I loved the look but haven't been able to find the picture again. Are the 86 transmissions computer run? Any affect on the performance of the transmission?

I you have an auto trans, the carb will require some brackets to restore the proper geometry to the tv system. A new cable is a good idea also. You will have to wire up the trans differently if you with to use lock up.
