I need to replace the optispark for my 92 LT-1. what brand is good and where to purchase?

I have a feeling the only brand you're going to find is a GM brand, or a remanufactured GM. You're local chevy dealer is going to try and charge you either the $650 list price, or around $400 if you talk to the right guy. There is one for sale in the "for sale/want" forum for $275 shipped, which is a good deal.

Yeah, if I were in the market for an Optidark Module, that's where I would go.

he has brand-new GM factory Opti's for $325 or so.

I would not get the remans. They apparently suck or something...

I got mine from the local dealer and since I buy stuff from him he sold me my opti for $300, and it broke during install and got a replacement with no questions asked. It's good to know people like that, got my water pump from him too, it was the LT4/LT1 replacement pump for $150(came with the 180 thermo and gooseneck installed, gaskets too!!!). When you go to the dealer let them know that you can get one for $350 or so, he'll try to beat that deal if he needs to make a sale, I also waited till the end of the month to ask for mine. They were more than happy to help me out to make a better quota on sales!!! And make sure you get brand new parts, not rebuilt stuff. Just some advice for ya!!!! :cheers:
