Default Need complete cam specs for stock production LT4 cam..help

Hey guys..

I need the complete specification of the production LT4 camshaft.. meaning the intake lobe center line degree mainly since this seems to be the only bit of information I am having trouble finding and the one I need the most for finishing tweaking in my injector timing offset. any help is greatly appreciated.. and thanks to Diel for pointing that out1

yeah I was already there.. that is for the hot cam.. I need the entire card for the production LT4 camshaft.. hereis what that site has for it, but that doesn't tell me where the injector fire timing needs to be in relationship to the intake valve event.

12551142 Hydraulic Roller (LT4 Production Cam)
This is an LT4 production cam 1996. The duration at .050” tappet lift (intake/exhaust) is 203/210; and maximum lift with 1.6 rocker ratio (intake/exhaust) is 476/480. Valve lash is zero/zero and lobe centerline is 115 degrees.

without knowing the intake lobe centerline, all I know is that the exhaust lobe centerline and intake lobe centerline are 115* apart. but not sure where the intake starts to open so I could determine the crank angle for telling the injectors when to squirt.

You aren't likely to find it. I've been keeping an eye out for the stock LT1 cam specs ever since I got my vette, and have also asked a few LT1 engine builders if they've ever measured one. Zip. Nada. Zilch.

Most likely if the info was there for an LT4 I would have run across it as I was looking for the LT1 info.

As you can see from the above posts most people don't even have a clue what complete cam specs means, even when you specifically mentioned ICL in your post.

Holy ****, no one on this forum reads. He needs the ICL for the STOCK LT4 cam shaft, not the LT4 Hotcam. Lobe seperation, lift, and duration are not what he is looking for.

Try asking on cz28.com Chris, maybe over there they will offer up enough respect to even read your post before replying.

I have a contact at a GM dealer in the parts department through work, I'll call him and let you know if I find anything Chris.

EDIT: The only information the GM dealer had on the cam was very cryptic, the information in the computer at the dealer reads, "115 lobe centerline." I assume that's lobe seperation angle, but there is no way to know for sure. Good luck Chris!

Chris - I may have an answer or at least partial answer to your dilemma. Apparently GM has outsourced some of their cam grinds to Crane (cranecams.com) and they grind both the LT4 and LT4 Hot. Perhaps a call or email to Crane could provide the answer you need.
Grind is #12551142.

You get the "ZOMBIE THREAD AWARD". This Thread is over seven years old! I hope he "tweaked" his engine by now.

OK, OK, my mistake. I joined this forum about 8 hours ago and did not see the date of this persons request. So that's what I get for trying to be helpful. Don't tell me that I'm bunking with a pack of arrogant know-it-all arseholes. I have a long memory and don't forget when I've been dissed. Besides, this guy never advised whether or not he found the data he needed. This thread is closed.

Hey, pacecar, take a chill pill. Name calling isn't my style and shouldn't be yours. Everybody on here has a long memory (including me) and if you can't take any ribbing maybe you should wonder who is arrogant and who is "dissed" in this thread. The word disrespect gets thrown around way too much nowadays.

OK, I'm chilly. So let's start fresh. Like I said, I joined CF just this morning, so I'm in learning mode and couldn't see the post date. I'm sure I'll mess up again. Sorry if I ruffled any feathers. Peace?
