Default Bendix brake pads: good, bad or ugly?

Anyone have experience with Bendix brand? Standard, not ceramic. I can't find much of anything in archives.

For spirited STREET/ROAD driving.

Bendix pads are what I use strictly on the DD's and they are good. They stop well and don't dust that bad. On my 88 however, I use EBC Greenstuff pads. They were miles ahead of the Bendix.

I had the Bendix pads on the car for drag racing and they were woefully inadequate for hauling the car down. I experienced instant fade pulling the car down from 100 MPH and the way I drive on and off the track it wasn't acceptable.

The EBC green stuff pads are well worth the $100 if you are going to be driving hard, especially if you will be repeatedly braking hard, but keep the towels ready because they dust up pretty quick. They have other compounds (yellow and red) but if I remember correctly those pads require a little bit of warm up before they really start to grab. Not what you want during a panic stop that is for sure .

You may also want to consider flushing your brake fluid and changing over to something with a higher boiling point like Valvoline Synthetic etc.. if you're going to be driving hard.

I like them, they work well in my daily driver. They are able to get me down to the speed limit when I need to.
