timing cover seal water pump drive shaft HELP!!!
I NEED HELP TO INSTALL A timing cover seal water pump drive shaft.THE TIMING COVER IS ON THE MOTOR AND I CAN NOT GET IT ON WITH OUT BREAKING IT ANY IDEA?

Unfortunately, you have a tough road ahead.. you need to pull the front end off to do so...
If you aren't mechanically inclinded i would have someone do it... it requires somewhat dropping the pan, pulling the crank pully, pulling the water pump and the Optispark THEN you can pull the timing cover....
Your probably talking a weekend job, i have doen it quite a few times... but it is not fun...

If you are talking about installing the LT1/LT4 water pump drive seal in the timing cover, Kent-Moore (SPX) makes a special tool that is designed to allow you to install it without damage to the seal.
It is simply a cone-shaped piece of plastic that keeps the inner seal lip from bending forward when you put it over the water pump drive shaft.

I FOUND THIS web SITE AND DID A SEARCH AND PUT IN THE PART # 10217886 it has picture and diagram that show you how to make the tool OUT OF A MARKER AND install the seal pretty cool i think i will give that a try THANKS I WILL LET YOU GUYS KNOW HOW IT WORK www.impalasuperstore.com
