Horn won't work?
My horn won't beep when I press the buttons on the steering wheel or when I left the window open and stuck my hand inside and opened the door and tried to get the alarm to make it beep. When I took a jumper wire from the battery to the horn connector it beeped whats up with it? THANKS FOR ANY HELP Pipe

Hey Serge I don't think there is a horn relay under the hood anywhere. All my fuses are ok. O by the way my car is a 90 coupe. The horn might be controlled by one of those Circut Breakers in the Fuse box but how do you check if they are any good or not? Pipe

When I bought my 1990 coupe in 2004, the owner told me the horn didn't work. He said it probably was the relay. I took it to a shop that specializes in Corvettes and they said the clock spring was broken. For $300, the main mechanic replaced the clock spring and the horn has worked fine since then. Hopefully, yours is not the clock spring as this involves working in close quarters with the airbag, which has to be turned off by removing the fuse.

Reminds me of the bumper sticker on all the old trucks around here:
"Horn broke, watch for finger!"
Every redneck around here holding a beer can in one hand and cell phone in the other while driving down the road has that one
Mine was not working when purchased. Pulled the horn cap off and used some toothpicks to hold some parts together to get it inspected (to old for an airbag though). Don't remember now exactly what was broken.....but......I swear one day I am going to fix it proper (hey, it works). Only difference between me and a redneck...........I don't really drink and my car is a bit nicer!
Hope you get the horn figured out
