Default " best fuel injector brand ?"

hi there guys,
i am looking at different fuel injector brands and proberely around the 26Lb size!
is there much differnce in brands as far as quality and spray pattern and performance ?

can you recomend any brand names that are good quality, reasonable price and so on?

where to buy them from ?

also is 26 Lb a good size to go with a mild 350/6 spd?

any help/comments would be great!
cheers and thanks again!

Glen the best bang for the bux are the Ford Motorsports 24lb injectors which are more than adequate for your engine. They run about $250 from Summit Racing.

Lucas/Delphi is good, size isn't that big of a deal if you are getting a tune. Racetronix used to post specials on the forum here, maybe they still have them.

Seen any of these specials lately? I'll need to upgrade to something bigger soon.

The SVO 24's have worked great for me.

My new Eckler's has rebuilt GM's for $500. That's a good price. I would have chosen that option. I recently had Fords put on my '91. I hear a loud tapping now - I think it might be the injector(s). Other than that the Fords work great and were much cheaper than factory GM's.

The 24 lb FMS injectors will probably do nicely, but be aware with a SD set-up like we have, you'll likely need a custom prom burned afterward. At least I did on my car. Even with an AFPR I couldn't get the A/F ratio in check until after I had a brom burned. MAF cars seem to get away with it, but SD isn't as forgiving.

I've had two sets of SVOs, and never had any problems out of either set.

I have heard from others that the ACCEL injectors had issues. I personally have never experienced any problems. Plus I can say that ACCEL no longer uses the old Bosch design, their injectors are now being produced by Delphi which in turn uses a disc as a valving mechanism. These injectors from Delphi are also the same as the old Lucas disc injectors, Delphi purchased that product line a few years ago.

Their injectors are not being made by Delphi. They are being made by SMP who also makes some of the Delphi disc injectors. We carry some Accel injectors but you will find that their pricing is not as competitive in the lower calibration range when compared to Delphi-direct product listed on our web page.

I have been running 24 lb. Accel injectors for over a year without any problems. Bosch is probably the best injector but they're not cheap.

Jegs has them slightly cheaper, also five o motorsports has them cheap as well but I think they sell used. There was a topic about them a while back. If you run a search you'll turn up a lot. If I remember right there is an issue with the fuel injector clip and the Ford injectors, you have to slot them or not use the clip? Someone that has used them can chime in or it'll be in the search.

I put this in my post - yes my Fords tick. Sounds like a valve tap but I didn't have the ticking until after I installed the new Ford injectors. I tried using a screwdriver to pinpoint the sound - it's hard.

The question usually comes up when someone is installing them. There are two rings and one of them does not line up exactly where the stock ring was. I called Summit and they said it was normal that thet fit a little different. I used the clips also so far no problems.
